Transport and Logistics

In general, transport and logistics are like inland shipping: extremely dynamic sectors, each with its own rules and customs. Today's chains of transport are furthermore considerably more complex than they used to be, with different modes of transport, whether or not combined, by road, water or air.

If everything goes as it should you never notice. Still, we recommend you to contact us to check whether all your arrangements are watertight. As mentioned earlier: prevention is better than cure. A brief informal talk is usually a lot cheaper than long-winding litigation.

Still, something may go wrong, showing how complex a chain of transport can be. For instance, you are wrongly sued by one or more parties interested in the cargo, carriers or another party, or you wish to hold one of those parties liable for the loss and damage you have sustained. How do you raise an effective defence, which party is responsible and how to go about it?

Van Dam & Kruidenier's years of experience and specialisation in this highly specific area will come in useful. Please contact Menno Braakenburg, Marius van Dam, Tim Roos, Frits Bienfait or Peter van Dam. They will certainly be able to help you.
